Ah, the chivalrous duty of giving up a seat or opening a door for a woman can leave some men bewildered. Many have been reproached by a liberated woman for doing so and are unsure of how to handle it. I am not excusing their rudeness, merely pointing out that our society in general needs to become more gracious.

I'm a bit late on getting to this post, but goood interview. I'm a big fan of European fashion. I think it's cool that they're less focused on brands. I've tried to do the same thing the past few years. It's also more cost effective, haha.

I've also noticed that European clothes fit me much better. I have a slim frame, so a lot of American brands, at least that I've tried, don't fit me well. Even the slim fits.

It depends on the type of job that you have. Fashion within industries can vary. What one may wear at a bank may differ from what one may wear to a bio-tech company. Take a look around and see what the norms are and go from there. Some tips:

Business Attire: Shirt, tie and a jacket.
Business Casual: Shirt, tie and sweater (optional)
Casual: Button-up or polo style shirt and slacks

Couldn't agree more with #5. I definitely had my fair share of baggy shirts/jeans, but I've far outgrown those (not literally), and stick to more styles that fit my body.

I also agree that chasing trends can be a waste of money, if those items are expensive. Can't go wrong sticking close to classic styles.

The problem with tattoos is that they're a lifelong commitment masquerading as a trend. What's cool when you're 20 is not necessarily cool when you're 60—and what's cool when you're wasted is not necessarily cool when you're sober. I know some grown men with elaborate tattoos who look great; it makes sense for who they are, what they do, how they live. But, most of the young rebels who get inked are just sporting indelible visa stamps from their brief trip to the wild side, and lots of people would prefer that their lawyers and accountants weren't so visibly marked by questionable judgment.

In short, if you're not working in the arts or on the docks, get your tattoos where nobody can see them during business hours. And I would advise the same for piercings.

I wont wear it... and thats because I 99% of the time wear blue Jeans... and jean shirts dont look very well with jeans ( Not anymore at least)... Eventhough there is people that can pull it! I am looking (exactly right now) on the righ a picture of Clint Eastwood on the Cover of GQ... and he looks good! I am guessing its because the shirt and the jeans are not exactly the same tone of blue!

I have only one tattoo, and I had it done when I was 15. But yes they can definately be addictive. And just on a side note, people ought to let go of their traditionalist sociocultural views and be okay with the idea of corporate lawyers with tattoos.

tattoos, from what i have noticed, are addictive. Everyone i know never stops at just one.

As for when they are shown in the workplace, i think it depends on what and where it is, as well as what line of work you are in. If you are a tattoo artist, by all means, i want to see ink on you and on every inch of your body. If you are a corporate lawyer, i dont want to see a single tattoo while you are at work.

Many people i know have tattoos for specific reasons. Others have no reason other than they liked the way it looked. If your tattoo has a true meaning, memorial of a friend, a child's name, or similar ilk, by all means, do not be afraid to show it.
