Let me give my input on the maturity of jeans and self. As a young man I was the victim of the urban culture where it was a sin to purchase jeans that fit correctly. If your waist was a 34, the minimum size you purchased was a 36. If your measured length was a 32, you could buy no shorter than again, a 36. As I have matured through the years, my jeans have gotten smaller. Not smaller as in “skinny”, but they actually fit my measured dimensions. Let me give you some key pointers to remember:
All pants, even jeans, should have very little break. By break I mean they should NOT bunch at the bottom (Dont get too carried away like President Obama though).
The perfect fit jeans should fall just short of your sole in the back, and on the middle of your foot in the front. Again, NO bunching!
If you were to put a belt on and tuck your shirt in, there should be NO bunching at the waist either.
*I think you get the point!*
Wearing the right size jeans can make or break an outfit. Your teeth can be pearly, skin properly moisturized, hair cut precisely, breath minty and your shirt can have all of the character in the world…BUT…if your jeans don’t fit correctly your efforts have gone to waste. Go ahead; don’t listen to what I am telling you. The consequence is that you will look frumpy and overweight, not a recipe for going home with company when the bar closes.
